What is PixPick AI?
expand_more
PixPick AI is desktop software for photographers that does the first pass of culling. It checks every photo for blur, closed eyes, bad exposure and near-duplicates, scores it, gives it a 1–5 star rating, and exports your picks to Lightroom or other editors through XMP sidecar files.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
expand_more
No. All analysis runs on your own computer. Photos, thumbnails, file names and EXIF data never leave it. The app only goes online to sign in and check your trial or membership, and reports how many photos were processed.
Which cameras and file formats are supported?
expand_more
JPG, PNG, TIFF, WebP and HEIC, plus RAW files from Canon (CR2, CR3), Nikon (NEF), Sony (ARW), Fujifilm (RAF), Olympus/OM System (ORF), Panasonic (RW2) and DNG.
Does it work with Lightroom and Capture One?
expand_more
Yes. PixPick writes star ratings to XMP sidecar files that Lightroom Classic, Capture One and Adobe Bridge can read. You can also have it sort your keepers into folders by rating or category.
Will it delete or change my original files?
expand_more
No. Originals are never modified or deleted. Rejected photos only go to a recycle bin inside PixPick, and exports use hard links or copies.
How accurate is the AI?
expand_more
It is built to do the tedious first pass: obviously blurry shots, closed eyes, badly exposed frames and duplicate bursts are flagged reliably, and the aesthetic score helps rank the rest. Final choices are yours: you can change any rating with the 1–5 keys, and Strict mode tightens every threshold.
Do I need a powerful computer or a GPU?
expand_more
No GPU is needed. The models run on the CPU through ONNX Runtime and take a few hundred milliseconds per photo on an ordinary modern computer.
Which operating systems are supported?
expand_more
Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) and macOS.
How much does it cost?
expand_more
Every new account gets a free 3-day trial with all features and no photo limit. After that, a monthly membership keeps everything unlocked. Website purchases do not renew automatically.
Which payment methods are accepted?
expand_more
WeChat Pay is available now. International card payments are being added.
